Cathy German

Preschool Special Education Coordinator for SACS

Prior to taking the position as Preschool Special Education Coordinator for SACS, I worked within the district's preschool speech program for 15 years. I also have 11 year experience as a speech language pathologist at Lutheran Hospital. I graduated from DePauw University with a B.A. in Psychology and graduate from Ball State University with a M.A. in Speech Pathology. I also hold a certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

I have been married to my husband, Todd, for 30 years and have 3 daughters.  Rachel is finishing her doctoral program in psychology, Katie is a second grade teacher at Whispering Meadows, and Grace is a sophomore at Northwood University.  I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, teaching Sunday School, and watching basketball.

Megan Deig

Preschool Classroom Teacher

I will be entering my fourth year as a classroom teacher in the 2016-2017 school year. I  graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Special Education: Mild, Moderate, and Intensive Interventions. I have lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the majority of my life. I graduated from Homestead High School in 2009. During my time at Homestead, I participated in show choir all four years. I continue to sing in my free time. I also am highly involved in the community and help with a youth group for high school students and love the time I spend with them.

Andrea Bearman

Preschool Teacher

I have been working in the field of education for 15 years.  I spent 8 years in the classroom teaching students at both the elementary and middle school levels.  In addition to that, I spent 7 years in administrative positions.  I was an elementary school principal for five years and spent one year as a director of special services.  I took last year off to care for the medical needs of my son, Aiden.  Now that he is stable and thriving, I am eager to get back into the career I love.  I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with families and colleagues in order to provide effective, meaningful and quality education for my students.

Diane Jones

Occupational Therapist

Now in my 30th year of occupational therapy practice, I enjoy and highly value being able to support students in the environment in which they must function and succeed. I enjoy learning and sharing what I have learned with teachers and parents. "Living life to the fullest" is an occupational therapy motto which describes well my commitment to habits, routines, and roles.  My husband and I are the proud parents of a college junior. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, gardening/landscaping, and remodeling (enjoying the final product most!).

Lisa Darmawan

Occupational Therapy Assistant

I graduated from IPFW with a B.S in personnel supervision and I graduated from Brown Mackie College Fort Wayne with an Associate of Applied Science in occupational therapy assistance.  As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, I have the pleasure of helping students reach their potential.  I am a wife and mother of two children.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching movies, and do my best to improve and maintain my house.

Holly Steward

Physical Therapist

I graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science and from University of Kansas with a masters of science in physical therapy. Besides being a Physical Therapist, I am a wife and mother of four.  We keep very busy as a family with school, sports and outside activities.  But, when I have a free moment I enjoy exercising, reading and working with plants and flowers in the garden.
