PTC Meeting


6:30 pm


1.       Restaurant night Oct 14th Culvers 4-10 pm

o   Flyers went out

o   Facebook posts to be 10/11 and 10/13

o   Customers do not have to show the flyer, they can simply say they’re from WMES

2.       Cookie Dough order forms have been shipped

o   Order forms will go home Oct. 22.  The ordering ends on Nov. 4th

o   Cookie Dough should be in before Thanksgiving break

3.       Popcorn Friday

o   Need a replacement to help pop popcorn

4.       Teacher Conference Snacks

o   October 18th (no students that day)

5.       Spirit Wear orders have been delivered

o   We have extra orders on hand but not a lot. 

o   Many Kindergarteners ordered for their field trip! 😊

6.       Santa Breakfast is Dec. 7th

o   Mrs. Knowlton- Teacher’s Treasures

o   Is there a new way to structure the storybook reader?  They are often alone, waiting for kids.  Could be more beneficial to have the teacher in the craft rooms (one edible craft and one ornament).

o   Shifts 15 mins before the event

o   Event starts at 8:30 am, shifts will be 8:15-9:30 and 9:30-10:45

o   Check with cafeteria staff to see who would be willing/want to be here for the breakfast

o   Mrs. Maack has a contact at Bigby Coffee.  Bigby would like to donate coffee this year.  We will send the approximate number of attendees.

o   Sign-up genius to be sent out Monday, Nov. 25th

o   All items must be turned in by December 3rd

7.       BINGO Night again during Book Fair week (week of Nov. 18)

o   We will ask Mr. C. if he would call the numbers

o   Amanda will ask for books (to be donated as prizes) on the PTC Facebook page

o   BINGO will be held Thursday Nov. 21st

o   Amanda will investigate a tie-in with the Superhero theme

8.       STEM night/kit

o   Tuesday, January 28th

o   Will be a family STEM night

9.       Evacuation

o   Teachers went over the lessons learned

o   Instead of the teacher wishlist, could that money go towards new radios?

o   We need to replace the old analog radios with the digital (radios are $800 each)

o   If PTC could budget 2 radios per year, it would help
