Southwest Allen County Schools to Host “Fill the Truck”
A Donation Drive for Hurricane Relief Efforts

In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene and the flooding that followed, Southwest Allen County Schools is partnering with Buchanan Hauling, Buchanan Logistics, and Millers All Day to collect essential items for those affected in North Carolina.

From Wednesday, October 9th through Friday, October 11th, between 4:00-8:00 PMthe Southwest Allen community is invited to drop off donations in the parking lot off Homestead Road, located between the tennis courts and Summit Middle School.

With the rallying cry, “FILL THE TRUCKS!”, the goal is to fill 20 trucks with donations. Owner Geary Buchanan has issued a personal challenge to businesses and residents to come together and help make this happen. All collected items will be trucked to North Carolina and distributed to the hardest-hit communities.

Buchanan companies are no strangers to lending a hand in a time of need. In 2005 a similar effort was made when they collected 18-20 trucks worth of supplies following Hurricane Katrina.
Let’s show our SACS pride and compassion by coming together for this vital cause. Please spread the word and help us fill the trucks to support families in North Carolina as they rebuild their lives.
