A SACS Community Event with Monica Harris

Posted Date: 2/06/24 (3:34 PM)

SACS Families and Caregivers,

As part of Southwest Allen County Schools’ (SACS) continuous dedication to fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging, please join us Thursday, February 15 for our enriching community event, Cultivating Community in Southwest Allen County Featuring Monica Harris.

Ms. Harris is a TEDx speaker, author and lawyer who advocates for balanced, common-sense solutions to systemic problems based on our shared values and goals. Drawing from her personal experiences, Ms. Harris will help us to understand that, despite apparent differences, we share more similarities than we often acknowledge. These common threads, when coupled with the ability to embrace our unique individualities, can serve as a powerful catalyst for fostering meaningful connections and transformative changes within ourselves and our community.

Ms. Harris will speak during this open community event on Thursday, February 15 at 7 pm in Homestead High School’s new auditorium. Parking is available in the student lot and guests are asked to use Door #33.  Parking will also be available off of Aboite Center Rd. in the Bus Lot with entry at Door #1.  There will be signs directing individuals to the auditorium from Door #1.

We hope you will join us. To learn more about Monica Harris, please click here.
